Conductix-Wampfler delivers 18 further Festoon Systems to Malaysia
Conductix-Wampfler increases its big footprint at the most advanced and largest port facility in Malaysia at the Port of Tanjung Pelepas
Malaysia is home to one of Conductix-Wampfler's largest installed bases when it comes to festoon systems in ports and container terminals. Conductix-Wampfler is in the process of expanding this installed base with 18 additional festoon systems at the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP). Eleven systems will be conventional festoon systems used on RTG cranes and another seven motorized festoon systems will supply power and data to the crane trolleys of STS quay cranes.
In this expansion project PTP will receive the latest motorized festoon system design that has been upgraded in terms of motors, rollers, buffers and safety functions over the past years to guaranty the most reliable operation.
The regularly updated control software to drive the motorized festoon systems ensures longest cable lifetimes and is able to react on any environmental influence.
In total more than 2.000 Conductix-Wampfler festoon systems are operating on Ship-To-Shore crane applications worldwide. Their reliability and rigidity in all environmental conditions make it the most mature and No. 1 technology on Ship-To-Shore cranes.
Conductix-Wampfler engineers and the local service team located directly at PTP are happy to support PTP in this port extension phase to keep their vital container handling business moving!
